Action Monitoring
Our interventions in Cumbres de Monterrey National Park focus on areas affected by deforestation, degradation, or damage from natural or human activities, such as wildfires. These actions are tailored to the ecological conditions of each site, incorporating restoration with native seedlings (approximately 1,000 per hectare) and soil conservation practices. FAMM ensures continuous monitoring of these projects through activities such as replanting failed seedlings, stabilizing terraces, fertilization, supplemental irrigation, and restoring perimeter fencing.

Since 2015, FAMM has reforested and maintained over 2.4 million native and rehabilitated approximately 9,000 hectares through the Payment for Environmental Services program. It has also implemented contour bunding, constructing 387,980 linear meters of contour lines in Cumbres de Monterrey National Park. These efforts contribute to soil conservation and ecosystem restoration.

White Papers
The Monterrey Metropolitan Environmental Fund (FAMM) has proactively produced its White Papers over the past four years. These documents provide transparency regarding the use of environmental compensation funds under its collaboration agreement with the Ministry of the Environment. Through these reports, the Fund accounts for the projects implemented, the results achieved, and the responsible use of public resources allocated to environmental restoration and conservation.

Available for consultation, the White Papers compile information related to income and expenses, reforestation progress, a nd georeferenced maps that illustrate the territorial scope of each FAMM environmental intervention.
