Energy Audit of the SADM Pumping System
Objective:
To establish a baseline for the energy efficiency of SADM's system and develop a strategy for significant improvement.
Methodology:
• Electrical bill analysis.
• Prioritization of pumping stations.
• On-site measurements
• Creation of single-line diagrams
• Investment proposal based on savings opportunities
Key Components:
• Pump replacement recommendations
• Peak-hour electrical demand management
• Motor replacement if needed
• Power factor correction
• Removal of low-voltage surcharges
Project highlights:
1. Boosting Efficiency and Sustainability: Implementing the recommendations from this project will not only significantly reduce operating costs but will also propel SADM toward a more efficient and sustainable model. This includes advanced energy practices to improve the resilience of the pumping system. Additionally, by preventing the emission of over 22,477 tons of CO2 annually, SADM will actively contribute to regional and national climate change mitigation efforts.
2. Economic and Operational Benefits: Increasing the efficiency of the pumping system will result in significant financial savings, strengthening SADM's resilience in the medium and long term.
